This is a follow up the article last month about Kymco Scooters.

Seems like Quincy is reporting that Kymco is aiming for a 40% market share of the Taiwan market.
http://martinracingperformance.blogspot.com/2011/07/italy-is-still-most-important-market.html
Word is they are also dominating European sales.
So Scooter Sales are up in Taiwan it seems, thats good news to see Kymco growing when other brands seem to be retreating in this market.
Industry sources said that KYMCO`s 125cc V2 entry-level scooter continues to drive sales in July, with KYMCO pointing out the NT$49,800 (US$1,660) price of the V2 is the reason for its success: some 4,000 V2s were sold in July to take a 36.8% share in the 125cc scooter segment to regain the lead that was lost to SYM early this year.
KYMCO also sees distributors’ need to restock as another reason for promising sales in July, but has to cancel all Saturday offs in August to put all production lines on overtime. The maker aims for 40% market share this year in Taiwan, as well as on average 26,000 units in monthly sales in the next five months.
Yamaha Motor Taiwan Co. (Yamaha brand) took 31.0% market share by selling 21,982 units in July (16,569 units in June), and sold 103,282 new PTWs in Taiwan in the first seven months, up 19.2% YoY for 28.1% share.
