Motorcycle Sales down for 2011 in the USA, but scooter still a bright spot

The last MIC report from the reporting companies showed Scooters were still up for 2011 which is good news from many, but for the third year in a row the overall industry is down. - 4.6 % from 2010 which was a horrible year, maybe not as bad as 2009 but still crappy for anyone in the business.

Seems like besides KTM, a few good UTV dealers out there this might be another year where the business just settles out. The good news scooter sales are going to be up 20% over 2010.  There were 3992 scooter registrations from Vespa, Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki compared to 3775 in 2010 in the month of June. So let's see what happens.
